I had to bring my son in as an emergency, he feel into a fire pit in thunder lake. The nurses and dr were excellent at getting him looked after quickly.
Not all doctors here are great but most are. I still think though that the nurses and desk staff should be able to tell us what doctor is on and answer some medical questions.
Hands down the best hospital and emergency I have ever been to. They have always seen me right away in under 30 minutes. This is what emergency should do! It's almost worth travelling to when you compare to the royal alex it was 6hrs before I even saw a nurse or got into a room. By 8 hours I finally saw a doctor. Every doctor, nurse and staff member at the Barrhead hospital are amazing! Dr. Dewwal is my family doctor and he delivered my son to me with every confidence and kindness you'd hope for. The stay was 5 stars plus. They even have pullout beds for your partner. I am forever greatful to all the people who work here. Best regards!
My father was discharged with an unsupported broken collarbone! No guidance on how he is to care for this fracture, if any follow up appointments were needed and no pain management prescribed!! I cant believe medical staff could treat another human being so terribly! My heart is broken. My father is sick with a broken collarbone and the staff couldnt get him out the door fast enough. SHAME ON YOU
While sitting here at this hospital, I must say I am so impressed with the staff and doctors on staff. I've been here for awhile, which is fine, I know I am no emergency, but I am passing through so it is my only option to be here.... so I have just been listening to the staff interacting with their patients, and observing them interact with each one. It's the first hospital I've been too where everyone seems to love their job and happily caring for their patients. Even the doctor is so cheerful in her interactions with each patient, fully listening to each concern, and answering each question and trying to make sure each patient fully understands what is going on with their treatment process.That is so nice to see!
